Notes and labels

Postby somo » Fri Apr 09, 2010 2:40 pm

There doesn't seem to be any way to know if a node contains notes such as a note icon. When I hover over the node I would also like some type of customized label to appear, especially for a node that has become a picture. Also, taking the note and making it visible is a nice feature but it needs to be able to shrink-to-fit my text. There is a lot of white space when I only add 1 line.

The node lid and indicators

Postby spin_guru » Mon Apr 12, 2010 3:06 pm

There doesn't seem to be any way to know if a node contains notes such as a note icon. When I hover over the node I would also like some type of customized label to appear, especially for a node that has become a picture.

We have one quick video (approx. 1 min 30 sec) that demonstrates both of these features: The Node Lid

It demonstrates:
    * Nodes are like containers and each node has a lid.
    * When you hover over or click on a node, the lid navigation bar appears.
    * Each icon on the lid navigation bar allows you to access and edit what you put into a node.
    * When an icon glows, that is an indicator that you have utilized that portion of that node.
    * You can pin any section of a node open, which allows you to see that information as you continue to edit your map.
    * When an image is attached in a node, you can make the image the lid of the node.
    * You can use the additional options in the dynamic tool bar above to select if and where you want the node title to display when an image is the node lid.

For a longer video (approx. 4 min) that covers node options in much more detail, please view: Node Basics

resizing notes...and other areas

Postby spin_guru » Mon Apr 12, 2010 3:16 pm

The node and the node sections can be resized by dragging the outside edge to lengthen or shorten, the bottom edge to heighten or shorten, or the resizing triangle in the lower, outside corner to edit both the length and height of a node at the same time.
